  1. It's pretty hard for Americans to get cruise ship jobs - since the ships are mainly registered outside the US, the cruise lines don't have to obey the same laws as in the US as far as minimum wage, breaks, stuff like that goes.  Cruise ship workers work EXTREMELY hard with long shifts and not much pay...usually doubtful that Americans will take these jobs due to the low pay (no offense is meant to Americans, but the pay is just so much lower than what we are used to in this country).  The exception would be ship entertainment staff - show dancers and singers...I don't know if that's what you have in mind or not though.  There are a few American-flagged ships run by NCL that cruise Hawaii though.

  2. - Speach several Languages

    - have the spirit to entertain

    - able to bring a laugh to any one (child, man, woman,

    - Top level in Swimming

    - At least have 3 different talents (Photography, light soprts(basketball-pool volley- darts-....) , talking, swimming, art craftes, cooking, dancing, singing, counting(when it comes to head count), organizing (events, exit and entry from the ship,..)

  3. Depends on what you want to do

Look on the web site of the line your interested in. Look under employment opportunities.

You can work as a bar waiter, restaurant server, entertainer, spa person, deck hand, cook, room steward, purser, housekeeper, and more.

Some jobs are through contractors and are not employed by the cruise line, so you can look for those too.
