Question:

Hi. Does anyone find Nike Air Pegasus a bit big?

I need a new pair of running shoes. I am UK size 10 (my last pair were Mizuno 10). I tried on Pegasus 10 in a shop and found them to be a bit big. I see that Amazon have size 9.5, but I don't want to get them home to find they are too small (I am nearly always size 10). Has anyone else found this with Pegasus?

Thanks

  1. I personally haven't purchased the pegasus since 2003. The forefoot has gotten way too "roomy". The fit just seems so off. I don't know about feeling big, as in a size too big, but the forefoot is definitely really wide. Maybe you should try a different model. Check out the Nike Vomero 2's. Those are my favorite shoes of all time.

  2. Every manufacturer has slight variations in sizing. Nike size 10 might be larger than an Ascics size 10. Even updated models can be different sizes from the last model. That's why going to a shop to try on several pairs is so important, and from several manufacturers.

I haven't tried on the Nike Pegasus but would use the method of if they don't fit well, then try on a different trainer.

  3. The Pegasus has one of the roomiest toeboxes around.  If you are not used to it, I could see that making it feel too big.  I wouldn't think that getting a smaller size would be a good idea though, since they will still be wide, just shorter.  If you don't like the fit of the Pegasus, you should go with a different shoe.  Did you like the Mizuno?  If so, did you try their new model?

  4. My nike running shoes fit quite snug actually i am a size 6. I would go for the 10 though as getting a bigger size is better than getting a size a bit to small (more prone to blisters i think)
