Hi! Does anyone know how to block your credit card so no one else can use it?

My son is broke all the time and keeps using my credit cards to load minutes on his pre-paid Verizon Wireless cell phone. Is there a way, besides getting rid of them, to block him from doing this? I am a desperate mom wanting answers! Thanks!

How about putting it where he can't find it or locking it up?

Umm, ever heard of PUNISHMENT? How old is your son? And if it's your credit card then why does he have a hold of it. Keep it hidden. It's not that hard.

If your child is stealing your credit card, you have bigger issues.

You need to parent up and set your foot down.  Putting a block on your credit card isnt going to change the fact that your child is out of control.

Change your card numbers. If your son is over 18 and out of high school kick him out, if not, I suggest you start keeping all of your financial information under lock and key.

You can put spending limits and such on your card, but bottom line anyone who has the full account number with ccv can use it.

Frequently change the CODE for your Card (or)

Keep the card in secure place, which place he could not guess.
