Hi Everyone! Im from the UK and my hubby and I are going to New York for New Years Eve, Where should we go?!

Were wanting to be in Times Square area but we are thinking of dinner and drinks somewhere as near to all the action as possible! Anybody any ideas where the best places are on New Years Eve in the Big Apple? thanks! x

Rockefeller Center

Its dangerous near Time Square there are a lot of pick pockets there. My cousins who live in New York told me so.

Find a Hotel that has a view of the crystal ball drop.

You can either be in Times Square or go out for dinner and drinks but it will be virtually impossible to do both and enjoy it.  Times Square starts filling up in the morning.  By dinner time you will be nowhere near "the action" (that being the ball drop).

Perhaps you can find a hotel with a New Year's Eve package of some kind.  All the "best places" will likely require reservations and a buttload of cash.
