  1. Training wheels, takes away the need for people holding onto you (Parents really didn't want to be chasing me around, probably wise on their part)

I had somebody (bloody roller bladers) crash into me (they were going the wrong way at a kids cycleway) and they broke my training wheels, so Mum got a spanner, took them off, and off I went again

  2. The summer I turned 5 my dad gave me a bike with training wheels on it. I rode it everyday for about a month, and then my dad took the training wheels off. He put me on the bike, ran along side of me until I got up to speed, and then let go. I crashed only a few times before I could ride on my own.

  3. My dad put me on the bike and gave me a push. I went about 100 feet and fell over. A few days later I was riding by myself.

  4. when i was 4 years old.......about 30 min.............

im a boy though so it might be different for girls

  5. I had a little bike with training wheels and when I was probably 5 or 6, my parents took them off and had me ride while my dad ran behind me holding the seat. Once I learned to hold my balance, I was fine.

  6. about an hour. my parents ran behind me a few times, and I dumped the bike a few times, but I learned in about an hour. I was 5. I never had training wheels.

by contrast, my 9 year old daughter finally loosed herself of training wheels this spring. she is now near unstoppable on her Gary Fisher Pre-Caliber..

  7. i went in the park with my cousin and i started pedaling and he told me he was going to hold my bike so i couldn't fall and after 10 meters i realized he had let me go and i was riding on my own.

if you don't have anyone who can help you, just stop being scared that you're gonna fall.

  8. My Dad took me to this Dead End there it only took me about 25 minutes. He hold on to me then he let go and there you go, I was bikeing.

Don't be afraid of falling, almost everyone falls when they try to learn how to ride a bike.

Get someone who knows how to ride a bike to help you out.
