I am planning to study abroad and i have sent in my applications for 4 colleges/universities already. That is about one month ago. I have contact already from two universities, but i havent heard from the other two. Should i send an email asking if they have received my application documents yet? How should i word it in my email?

  1. You can simply explain the problem; you can say " I have sent my application a month ago but I haven't heard anything from you. Have you got my application?  If so, is it in process?" or "when will I hear from you?" Something like that works. University adminitration offices are usually busy around this time so if it's possible, you might want to call them.

  2. U may write so:- Dear Sir/Madam, My name is x*x and I'm from x*x. I have sent my application to your university on (date) and yet to receive any response.

I would like to check on the status.

However, tHe fastest way is to call them directly..

  3. I had the same trouble when I was applying for underg. college. You should say something like HELLO, MY NAME IS ......I AM AN APPLICANT TO YOUR SCHOOL FOR THE STUDY ABROAD, I WAS WONDERING IF YOU RECEIVED MY APPLICATION.  END IT WITH THANK-YOU. It's always best to call them because you are directly on the phone with them. Good luck!!
