  1. I have the same problem.......thanks for the advice.........

  2. although im a right handed golfer i know your exact problem. if you didnt know what your doing is a slice, i used to do it all the time.

im also 14 and im betting your driver is to long for you. first of all the best thing to do is go get it fitted. but what you are doing is when your coming threw in your swing the club face is square with the ball but its sliding across the ball. like your club is farther away from you and than it gets closer to instead of going straight threw the ball. when you do that it cause the ball to spin off the face giving it a left spin and after getting enough momentum the ball starts to curve. because your club head is always pointing straight the ball will always start off straight before it slices.

but good luck fixing your problem, the quickest way to do it is get your shaft cut down an inch or two, thats what helped me anyways.

  3. Strengthen the grip (right hand more on top of the club). That usually cures a lefty slice. The head on a club with a graphite shaft will release later compared to a steel shaft, so holding the face shut with a stronger grip will prevent it from opening too much during the back swing.

If you hit your steel shafted irons straight, and slice anything with a graphite shaft, you should strengthen your grip when using graphites.

  4. you  are either pushing it, or your hands might be little too slow. maybe even if you tighten your grip a little. no not literally tighten but get your right hand a little more on top of the club

  5. then you are pushing the ball

you probably should see if you are kicking your leg, perhaps pulling your arm up too early, or keeping you back angle consistent.

try those and if it does not work, contact me

  6. "Strengthening" your grip is certainly a good start.  Watch your swing path by looking at the paint marks the tee makes on the bottom of your driver.  Chances are you are cutting across the ball.  It starts straight, but the spin causes a slice.  This also degrades distance.

Try shortening up your swing a bit and keep your left elbow tucked near your body on the down swing.  When your left elbow is not near your body, it makes the club go from outside to inside, causing a slice.

  7. i am 15 and you shouldnt listen to any of the people before me. Instead of changing your equipment and spending money doing something that will not make you a better player. This is not an equipment flaw, this is a swing flaw. You need to get lessons from your local PGA Professional and this will help you hit your drives farther and straighter. That is the only way to get the results you want in golf. Then, once you find a swing that works, you should change your equipment in order to fit your game. I did this and then got fitted for my ping irons and my taylormade burner driver and my scores have gone down by 7 shots because im hitting the ball farther and straigher. This is all because i got lessons and then got equipment that fits my swing, instead of sticking with a bad habit and buying equipment for a bad swing. Go and get some lessons.
