  1. how long has your spouse been in the US ?

    first question,

read this article on green card first, it is not the US embassy but USCIS that takes care of green card .or the consulate of the US in Canada; since you are out of the country.

go to this page and read, you do have to reside in the US for a while and be present on US soil to get the green card ,

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/m...

but contact the US consulate in Canada to get details:

go to this page for infos on all consulates in Canada:

  2. You don't want any mess. Check with the American Embassy in Canada as to what forms need to be filled out. Then, when you have to bring her home, you won't have the red tape situation. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. Peace, Love and God Bless.
