  1. hey guys: you forgot something:

    - Bocca della Verità: put your hand inside and try to say something untrue.... ZAC!

    - Isola Tiberina (the island on the Tiber)

    - Piazza Navona (did you read "Angels & Devils"?)

    - Piazza Campo de' Fiori

    - Gianicolo (--> Mission Impossible III)

    - Fori Romani

    - Campidoglio & Musei Capitolini (a must see!!!!)

  2. trevi fountain, spanish steps

  3. http://www.10best.com/Rome,Italy/

for sights & activites, etc this is good

  4. St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican.  Pay special attention to the art and the mosaic tile murals on the walls.  They are ancient and truly amazing.

Do make sure to eat gelato, go to a "bar" and get an "arancino", visit a small "trattoria" (the small ones are the best), and visit a pizzeria.  Pizza here does not compare with real pizza. You won't believe the difference.

  5. I won't bore you with all of the usual places.  Any guide book will list them all.  The one place that is a must see though, is the Vatican.  I've spoken to many people, religious and non-religious and they were all moved by the experience.  Hey, have a great time.

  6. He is right, the trevi fountain and the spanish steps are a must see.  The steps are hard to go up because there are so many - be warned.  The vatican was beautiful too.  When I went I made sure to go to the flea markets that were on the street - good momentos for the family (and cheap).

I will give you a bit of advice if you have never ben.  Here cars must yield to the padestrian but not over there.  They will run you over so be careful.

  7. go to the colisuem and go to vatican city too see the church

  8. So much to see and so little space to tell you,  Of all the sights, do not miss Castel St Angelo!  Within sight of St Peter's on the bank of the Tiber.  Also the neighborhood of Trestevere (sp?).  Ancient, winding, picturesque streets and alleyways.

    Piazza Navona

    Piazza Rotundo

    The Forum

    Ciao,

    Tom

  9. Go to the Spanish Steps, eat a lot of gelato, and then go to Venice.
