Hi. I've selected a name for the future, and this may sound silly, but I'd like to know...?

I've selected the name of Haven Alexander James, with no surname yet. My inquiry is...when signing papers requiring the middle initial, which letter is to be put down? Should I have the name this way, instead: Haven Alexander-James? Even in this case, which would I/he go with? Are both intials to be put down? Please assist me. Thank you. :^)

  1. He would put down A for Alexander because this is his first middle name.

  2. I think its too many names and it doesnt flow properly, so I would rethink the name. I am not sure how people who have more then one middle name write their intials

  3. If you think thats bad you might  feel bad for my son :) His name is Carl Avrin Tyriq Holt IV   He goes by Avrin. But at school they make him go by Carl when he writes his name and what not....But on paper we put Carl A.T. Holt IV....hope this helps :)

  4. It would be Haven A.J. whatever.

  5. In most american lastnames, there is only one word in it so the dash would not fit in. You should just keep it Hatven A. James. Its simple and better!

  6. Papers usually ask for full name so you would write the full name

  7. That kid is SO going to get his butt kicked....

  8. That name is fine... Some people like me have 5 names plus surname.  I would go with A for the middle initial

  9. I'd go with Haven A.J. (then last name) if the form will allow it. Some informal types will but legal ones prolly not  Otherwise Haven Alexander James (or use the hyphen if you like it) and then the last name.

If the forms "see" the A.J. as initial,s then just drop the periods; keep in mind though, that some forms will not allow for such a long middle name.

That's why I'm offering you several suggestions.

  10. That's too cute that you picked out your future kids names!  Awww!  Anyways, you put (future last name)-James Haven, Alexander.  I'm almost positive.

  11. my name is Ashley Michelle Ann and i put both initials, i like it because there are hardly any other people i know with 2 middle names.

  12. I think its too many names that does not flow well together. Also Haven sounds a little too girly, what about Hayden James

  13. HUH???

  14. you would probably put haven alexander james... all together. my name is pacis eurydica starr and thats what my mom put...

  15. yes, you put down both initials like Haven A.J Soandso

  16. There is an interesting article in wikipedia about having two middle names. I do not think it is a bad idea. I can remember i went to school with a boy who had two middle names. I think it does make the name more interesting I mean I can still remember the boy I went to school with. Christian Alexander constantino popiolious. Spelling may be off. I do not know who he abbreviated it but I say do it. Oh by the way I work with a lot of people who use their middle names and not their first so maybe it would be H Alexander J
