No you cant change it from Bombay office, wait until it expires then apply for renewal at bombay office with new name.

or go to your former city in Gujarat and change from there (that would be best)

You can change your name here in Mumbai but first change your address to a Mumbai address and then change your name or apply for change in Name and Adress at the same time.

Go to a good agent.......if money is not an issue.
