  1. You should watch Sachin and/or VVS Laxman and take mental notes to implement when you actually play on the field.

  2. Oh you poor thing I am so sorry for you, this type of problem must be devistating to you.................... I can't even imagine going through this............................. What the he!!??????

  3. Put a ball in a thick sock and tie it to a string like a punching bag. Use your bat to hit it continuously, moving your feet back and forward, this will automatically make you move your feet when you are playing for real.

  4. All novice or casual players, have the same problem. In your case you are using too much bottom hand, which lifts the ball up in the air.Raise the bat in the air before ball arrives and swing slower.Missing a full ball, means your not looking at the ball long enough. The ball is swinging and you are going into your shot too early and not looking at the ball as it goes near the bat, ecause you are concentrating on your bat swing.

Start by blocking, rather than driving the ball,as this will force you to look at the ball longer.Swing slower, with your foot down the pitch to avoid bottom hand lifting the ball.

Finally, make your mark in the crease, about 12 inches inside the crease. This will give you more time, and you will be able to play a number of front foot shots off the back foot

  5. basically, take the advice that your coach will give you when you ask them, and then practise it, over and over again and eventually, if you work hard enough, you will fix the problem

  6. Front foot playing tips on below links. Hope this helps.
