Hi I am French and I have never heard any negative things about prince William, is it the same in Britain?

I was wondering why the press often write bad remarks about all the members of the royal family and not about prince William.

Is it because they don't find any bad things to say? I was just wondering why. thank you

I think Prince William is better aware of his image and he is more like his mother in trying to give the Royals a good name..he is involved in many of her charities..Harry is a good kid just more into the partying scene, I think he realises the likely hood of him becoming king are very slim and does not feel the need to uphold the "image" as much.

Yes you're right, but why would you want to anyway? He is more mature than Harry and he's got a lot of pressure on his shoulders (he'll be the future King Of England after all)

They slated him for dumping that Kate bird, other then that they don't really mention him much, oh there was another one about how him and his mates drunkenly heckled some nobody off stage during a performance night at a pub, I suspect the guy went to the papers because he wanted some publicity for his act, It didn't work though he is still nobody.

I can tell you lots of negative things about this person. He's from an uber-rich background with privileges he inherited rather than worked for. If he renounced his claim to the throne I might revise my opinion of this thick idiot but that's not looking likely.

Actually the tabloids have been recently writing a few negative remarks about Prince William and his break up with his off and on girlfriend Kate Middleton of 4 years. Now that they are back together again, the negative comments have disappeared and he is back on the good side again. I personally believe that the public wants to spare him due to the loss of his mother, the late Princess Diana. He is simply a mirror image of Diana and I suppose he reminds everyone of what a great loss the nation had to endure. People often show him their sympathy and respect due to that reason, and I don’t believe it has anything to do with him being the future king. His father, Prince Charles is actually 1st in line to the English throne and I seen people drawing disrespectful cartoons of him with his huge buck teeth and enormous ears.

There was one time where it was reported that HRH Prince William bought all of the lager in a supermarket, the media probably baited Harry into behaving badly e.g. the fighting just to get a story.

William is an exemplary guy. He's just a very disciplined person and the media - try as they might - they just can't get any dirt on him. They would definitely love some dirt to spread about him even though he's the son of the adored Diana but they just can't get the goods. It's  nothing moral at all or anything like that - media is a business and if they had the goods on him they would play them to exhaustion. Prince William is exemplary.

I think William is very aware of his position & works hard at maintaning a certain image. This makes him, in my opinion, come across as rather staid & boring.

Unlike Harry, who is a fun-loving guy who likes to have a good time like average guys his age. He will only be King if his father & brother both die before him which is unlikely.

Having said that, I have to admit that I prefer Harry & feel he would make a better King because he is more in touch with real life than either his father or his brother.

William is not easy to criticise because he's works very hard to keep his image clean, unlike his younger brother he's doesn't fall out of night clubs drunk in the early hours of the morning, smoke or lash out at photographers.

For those who call him thick, he got into University on his own merits (A-level results) and gained a 2:1 degree in Geography. He's also graduated from Sandhurst.
