Hi! I am fairly young, and want to wrok at a job relating to the environment. any suggestions?

Hi! As you have probably assumed from my name, ecogal, i want to be very involved with the environment, and animals... I do not know where to start! I know it is difficult to find a job pertaining to this. Please help!

Why don't you just be a vet so you can help dogs and cats.

hi Ecogal,

I work in commercial wind energy, and I am only 23. There are quite a few jobs opening up in Renewable Energy these days as the prices of oil and coal rise. I am in the Wind Industry so I will only speak to that. If you think you might like to decide where wind turbines go, get some knowledge and training in metereology and/or biology.

If you want to make the turbines, get training in metallurgy, composite/fiberglass layup, or machinery.

If you want to design the turbines, get an aviation or control systems engineering degree.

Study biology and try to intern or volunteer in as many fields as possible till you find your niche.

Try volunteering for your local conservation district.  I volunteered  during the summers and got paid.  Activities ranged from wildlife surveys, designing bridges, constructing barnyards, to moving trout streams with the fed. government.  It was great it really taught me quite a bit.

fairly young 10 -12 then look at a veterinary hospital to volunteer walking dogs or a community garden

13-15 getting older to get a job, volunteering at a kids day camp,if you have a town parks dept apply ,in Ontario Canada we have a Junior Rangers program with the MNR were youth go and plant trees,clear/clean canoe routes and other outdoor duties

16-legally can get a job anywhere go to your local manpower office fill out what you are qualified for or what your interests are post it and see what happens
