  1. What to practice:

    Serving

    Hitting (spiking)

    Passing

    Setting

    What to wear:

Spandex shorts (if you don't have them, then short tight shorts)

    T shirt  or Tank top

    Comfortable running shoes

    Knee Pads

What coaches want in a player:

    A killer serve

    A controlled bump and set

    Know the rules

Know the Bump, Set, Hit technique

Be LOUD! Call for the balls and cheer on team

  2. Wear volleyball shorts(spandex), long socks that go up to ur kneepads. Get all ur hair out of ur face...but only use a headband, avoid any clips cuz those usually arent allowed. When ur goin to pass the vball always call it off super loud, such as saying "MINE MINE MINE!" or "GOT IT GOT IT!" I know it seems kinda stupid to say that at first but thats what coaches like.

  3. just jump high

    and hit the ball HARD

it'll at least show the coaches that u have potential

middle school volleyball is nothing though. u should make it.

  4. Work on bumps, sets, blocks, and serves. I would also run suicides.

Wear b-ball shorts, comfy t-shirt tennis shoes and knee pads that don't fall down when you run.

  5. I am going to be trying out for the 8th grade team this year.

I made the 7th grade team last year. It isn't that advanced until you get into high school so it's not like you need to know advanced blocking skills and such. If your tall you will probably be put in the front row so it is better for you to work on sets, spikes and blocks if anything. If you are short you will probably be put in back row. I would work on lots and lost of bumps or well passing. You will be squatting a lot so I would try and get used to that. You should really know how to serve. We weren't required to do an overhand serve in 7th grade but it was a plus if you did know.

    Hope that helps :D

Ummmm..... Get a pair of kneepads and wear a T-shirt and if possible spandex. If you don't have spandex wear some short shorts. Our coach didn't like it wen we wore basketball shorts because we would always mess wit them or get too hot. Wear your hair in a ponytail and if you have bangs put them back with an elastic band. Oh! And don't wear any jewelry!

Oh, and coaches like when your loud and call the ball.
