Hi I am wondering if it is possible to fly domestically with a temporary id.?

I live in Utah and got my license a couple of days ago. I dont have it yet but do have the temporary id they issue. I have to fly out to LA in two days but dont know if they will be sufficient id. Any suggestions or info.. thanks

The first answer is correct and it will be fine if it is "government issued photo ID".

If not, you need to get to the airport an hour early (3 hours before departure) to allow time to address the inevitable questions.  Take any other photo ID you have with you, such as a student ID.
