  1. 1st mail depending on distance will take 3 to 7 days, just wait, it will show up in a day or two

  2. Well before you go into all that with pay pal, you need to allow just a little longer yet, as we are still very much caught up the postal strike back log.

I ordered something and it took 2 and half weeks to get here. Yes you do get buyer protection with e bay but always try to resolve the issues with the seller first. Did you check out their feedback and everything before you decided to buy from this seller.

I would wait another week then ask the seller what he proposes to do , in most cases they will refund the money if they are a genuine seller. If not then get in touch with e bay team.

  3. It is the SELLERS responsibility to get the item to you

    open a paypal dispute

paypal will ask the seller to provide a tracking number

If he does not provide one they WILL refund your money

dont bother opening an ebay dispute...they will not really do much and you WILL get your money back through paypal

edit------ after re-reading the question, i see you have only given it three days.... any dispute process requires that you give the package enough time to arrive, and you will not even be able to open a dispute until 7 days have passed

  4. i would give it a bit longer as some things get delayed in the post i have bought and sold bits on ebay and some stuff come really fast and other have been delayed but not always due to the seller if its been posted at the post office late on in the day it stays their till the next day i would give it till monday morning if it still hasnt come then contact the seller and ask for proof of postage and then go through ebay/pay pal  good luck

  5. Recently I sent a letter by first class post and it took 5 days and I used a recorded delivery label.

Ask the seller for the recorded delivery number (it's 13 digits).

The seller should be using recorded delivery to protect themselves.

But I'd really give it about 10 days before trying to seek resolution.

  6. I always give at least 7 days for my items to turn up.  If you haven't received it by then, contact the seller through the proper channels on eBay and see if they will either send you another item out or refund your payment through Paypal.

If you have no luck there, then go through the correct procedure on eBay and send a notice to them saying you haven't received your item.

If the seller has good feedback, there shouldn't be a problem with my first suggestion.  I have done this in the past and have had no problems.

    Hope I have helped.

  7. If you paid by PayPal you're fully protected.  The post is in a mess at the moment and 1st class packets from some areas are taking a week to arrive - so don't panic just yet.

  8. I sell things from time to time on ebay. Recently I had one of my parcels not arrive at its destination. It was sent first class and the postage paid was £5.00 Its been a month since I sent the parcel. It was around the week of the postal strike and was told it might take a bit longer. I do put on my ebay that I will accept no responsibility for parcels lost in the post but I WILL however help in contacting royal mail to track the item down and if needed claim off royal mail BEFORE I refund any money back to the buyer. The person who sends the item has to fill in a claim form with proof of postage, payment from paypal and the item description off ebay before they will pay out any compensation. All my parcels have a return to sender labels on them but it still amazes me that they can get lost and never be seen again! Even though you have buyer protection of paypal you might not get any money back off them. They can only give you what is in their paypal account. My nephew bought an xbox 360 what never arrived. He paid £200 but only got £100 back of paypal. Read very carefully the terms of paypal protection. I had an item not turn up and when I checked the terms on paypal it was not worth claming the money back as it was only about £10

Still give your parcel a few more days, Royal mail will not look into a lost item until 15 days after the first date of postage. Don't automatically assume that you have been scammed... lost parcels are a nightmare for the sellers. It makes us look like dishonest people and 9/10 of them are very genuine nice people. Give your parcel a week and then ask if they can look into it with the post office... but like I said they won't do anything for 15 days. Also if it was a large item that won't fit in your letter box ring the sorting office for undelivered items as sometimes they can forget to post the little card through saying that they called. Hopefully your item will turn up. Let us know how you get on and if you need any more advice I'm happy to help.

  9. Good luck. thats all I can say. I bought an item from a seller who promised it would be with me over night as I had paid extra for the quick delivery.....That was three weeks ago. I can't get past go with e bay!!!!

  10. I'd give it a bit longer, some post is still 'up the wall'. You can't do a lot at present, because the post office want you to wait a couple of weeks before they'll investigate, but you can ask for a copy of the proof of postage.

  11. You are a bit ahead of yourself.  Give it a few more days.  If It still hasnt come ask the seller for proof of posting, then if he cannot give it to you, get onto Ebay.

Hope you get it sorted out.  Its very frustrating when this happens!

  12. give it few more days he said he sent it but he might not have done it on that day ...email and ask again ....then report him for 'item not arrived' take it from there good luck

  13. Yes, they're usually very good at sorting out disputes.

I think you should wait a few more days as it's possible it will still turn up. After that, go to the "dispute console" in Ebay and kick off the process of filing a dispute.

  14. YES and So does ebay resolution.
