  1. Panic disorders are very treatable. So  go get some therapy for your panic disorder, then go get a job.

  2. Go get on some Buspar and get some Psychotherapy. I don't want to give you any money. You don't need SSI.

  3. There are many people who are diagnosed as having anxiety or "mental" problems of some description, when it is something quite simple that is continuing to cause the problem. Usually none of the medication given actually fixes the problem, but blocks the symptoms.

I believe there could be two things affecting you.

One is I think you may have a particular food intolerance. This may be something new to you and doctors don't treat for it, but it can give some people "mental" type conditions.

You need to eliminate any particular food one at a time for 3-4 days and see if there is any difference in the way you feel. Keep doing that, one at a time, until you find the culprit. Keep a record of what you are eating and how you feel.

The other thing could be that you have a nutrient or vitamin deficiency. In your case it sounds like you could have a Vitamin B12 deficiency.

    The symptoms of this are;

Difficulty in concentration and remembering, stuporous depression, severe agitation, hallucinations, manic or paranoid behaviour.

There are other vitamins and nutrients that could also help.

Your could also have a Lactate excess in blood, or Calcium deficiency - both of these will give symptoms such as Anxiety, neurosis, fatigue, insomnia, tension

  4. Oh I know that anxiety and feelings of panic are NO joke...they have the potential to consume you in a way that you just want to end it.

Please do not allow the ones that do not understand to annoy you...they just dont understand and these feeling are very hard to convey.

I have suffered from panic, anxiety, and severe nervousness all through my life...I too have missed alot because of it.

I see that you have some very good suggestions already but allow me to share what I have been doing to keep those "demons" at bay.

I used to be a severe alcoholic and drug addict, I would consume just about anything to "get out of myself"...or loosen the grip of anxiety and depression. Well needless to say, that didnt work.

What has been working is facing my fears and finding out that dragons in my life have only been puppies, at best.

I have chosen not to take ANY sort of drugs...prescription medications included...but to go within and find my strength.

Guess what Girl?!!...WE are Strong as h**l!!...Imagine that.

I am not judging or telling you what to do, but merely offering you another option and by sharing my experience, strength and hope.

Absoultely...I spelled that wrong on purpose by the way...do what you feel is best for you and your life.

My path is and was not always easy, but SOOOO worth it!!

If you ever need someone to talk to who "gets it!!"...please feel free to e-mail me.

    Much Love,

    Peace!

Edit: Please, when you have a chance to be alone, go to this site and read this story. A friend gave this to me, when I was going through a very challenging time...facing fears. I cried for days after reading it, no worries though, I needed those tears in the worst way. I pray that it will inspire and uplift you. Brightest Blessings...Peace!

  5. Maybe start off with volunteering somewhere, help with kids, or abused women..something where you feel you have a purpose.  ..and go from there.  ....just be part of something.  You have to have your own significance in life.  YOU are YOU, not "your husband's wife"...understand???

  6. SSI is supplemental security Income it is to help people with little income or no income that become disabled If you have worked in the past you might be able to qualify for early retirement payment from social security disability. Make an appointment with a SS worker and see where you fit into the system.

  7. I can understand why you would panic at getting a job. But I also believe it would benefit you in the long run. It would make you independent and give you self esteem.

What you need to do is work out why you panic (if you don't know). Once you know that, try to solve the problem. Find some soothing techniques. Even if it takes you two months to work up the nerve to write a resume and start applying, I think it is worth while.

I can tell you that the thought of working, is much worse than the reality. Sure it isn't a bundle of laughs, but it isn't the worst thing either.

It might be a good idea to get some professional help with this. Even if you only go to one or two sessions to learn coping techniques.

  8. I know where you are coming from. I didn't get panic disorders until late in life. I still can't figure out how they came about. I did work through it with the help of a doctor and now I'm back to work full time. Not the easiest thing to do but it can be done.
