Hi I have a Ford Escort 1.6 1981 with no spark it has electronic breakerless Ignition have changed coil still

no spark I have checked the leads cap and rotor they are ok distributor is turing ok. has good voltage to coil primary wires when ignition is turned on am stumped.

It sounds like it could be the ignition module. This will either want replacing or you could clean it first with Brake Cleaner or some other oil-free cleaning solution and give it a try.

ignition module under the cap or pick up coil under the cap as well

simple way to test is to remove the spark plug, attach to the ht lead and place against the body of the car, you will then see if its sparking.
