  1. Check the cord. It is good to be seen by a mechanic but prior that you could spray  it (there are sprays for rust and dirt removal).

  2. That's right. Your throwout bearing is crapping out.

  3. Sounds like your clutch release bearing is on its way out mate.  You'll have to take it to your garage as they'll have to split the engine & gearbox to investigate it.  Hope this helps.

  4. Yes, it's the thrust bearing in the clutch, what has happened is, the bearing has got dry of grease and it will continue making that noise until it is replaced, however on the good side, I had an old cortina mark II and it had a noisey bearing like yours, and I kept running it like that for a further two years, without failure.

  5. Throwout bearing is worn.  If you stop pushing down on the clutch pedal, you won't have to put up with that annoying noise.

  6. I had a nissan sentra did the same thing. most likely it is a clutch throw out bearing going up on you. The whirling will get worse until eventually your clutch starts slipping out of gear, How many miles on the clutch? Could cost some money if you cant do the work yourself.

  7. Thrust bearing.........could go on forever if you can live with the noise. But if you can't don't just change the bearing.......change the assembly.

  8. Thrust Bearing

  9. thrust bearing as gone.

  10. sounds like a clutch release bearing, should'nt do any damage if you don't fix it,  it may stay goin for ages without problem only the noise, but if you plan to keep your cer for a good while more maybe better off replacing it
