You don't need it (and there is nowhere to download it).

If your computer has a firewire400 port, use it with a firewire cable connected to your camcorder's DV port for trnsferring video.

If your computer does not have a firewire port, they are cheap - and easy to add if you have available expansion slots.

USB will not work. Transferring DV from the tape to your computer is not supported.

If you want to transfer stills, you will use the USB cable and connections - and the camcorder will mount like any other USB mass storage device. Or get a card reader.

DO NOT plug the USB and firewire cables into the computer and the camcorder at the same time. Bad things can happen to your computer and the camcorder.
