  1. You can reallly get a one for a automatic only, I did not know that I guess I need to get on for standard shift only.

  2. Yes you can - An automatic license covers any car as long as it doesn't have a clutch pedal.

  3. The term, tiptronic, refers to a transmission as being semi automatic, you only need a manual car license for a fully manual car that has a clutch which needs to be depressed to change gear.

  4. Tiptronics is Automatic tranny.

I own an Audi with tiptronics.

Even if you have a car with manual shift tranny, you just need to get some lesson.  You do NOT need special license.

    Good Luck...

  5. yes a regular class D license covers auto manual and tiptronic.

  6. A very good question and i don't no but as long as there is no clutch then you would have thought so someone prove me wrong or right i don't care its still a good question and a star for you

  7. Hi my licence is for automatic cars only and I can drive Tiptronic and Easytronic too. Good luck and happy driving!!!!

  8. where are you located which requires additional licensing to operate a manual?

  9. A Tiptronic is an automatic transmission. It also allows you to  to override it, but it is an automatic, so it's covered.

  10. There are places where they issue license for driving an automatic only?I've never heard of that one before.
