  1. One word , four letter

    S C A M

  2. no it isn't genuine.

i went along to the chat they offered, only to receive good cop bad cop from them.

yes they do expect you to buy a time share and then give you some crappy voucher which is supposed to be for a holiday, which you send 100 off for.

you only need go on the forums and type in club la costa and you will find lots of people all pi**ed off.

    DON'T DO IT!!

  3. We had a phone call once telling us we had won a holiday in Spain. It wasn't with this particular company, I have to stress.

We were a bit sceptical but we went to their open day anyway, we were told we could enjoy the facilities and would have lunch. We had to sit through the presentation, which was fair enough, but once you start saying you didn't know it was about timeshare (oh no, this ISN'T timeshare! weren't you listening???) they do start getting a bit nasty.

I agree with Rafa L, by the time you work out how much it costs a year you have a choice of whatever holiday you like, you don't feel obliged to take two weeks with them.

The lunch by the way was two slices of the nastiest cheapest kind of bread with the nastiest cheapest margarine scraped off, one slice of waferthin ham, cut into four triangles to make it look like a lot, with a small sprig of cress for garnish. This was shared out between two or three people.

We got our pass for the holiday but I think we had to find our own airfare, anyway needless to say we didn't bother!

  4. Don't accept it..

All the timeshare places are a royal pain...

They will try to con you into buying a "week", and it isn't really worth the trouble or the money you'd end up paying for years, for a weeks holiday you can't manage to take half the time anyhow. And they are impossible to "resell". Once you've got it you are stuck with it....

  5. congratulations - can I come with you?

  6. hey, i had an equirey for this yesterday, as i asked same few weeks ago, i will copy and paste my repy, its as follows :

Hi, its me, i just noticed my name ! We did go, we got the vouchers for attending, but signed up for a trial member, 3.5k, had 14 days cooling off period, but must send notice in by reg post within 14 days. Looked lovely, but wish we had just took the free holiday they give you, think its about £60 admin. They give you about 7 trail holidays for the 3.5k, but if u use 2 ur ok, but go into the next 5 and £500 each comes off the full membership price, so your not left with 3.5k to transfer off the full price. Full membership is 10k. We cancelled within 14 days, that was about 2-3 weeks ago, as yet have not got our 3.5k back, but have been told its on its way. If i dont get it i will be going to them meeting and putting everyone off, so they better return it. So unless your loaded and want nice places to go, stick to the free vouchers and free holiday. Good luck. If you need anymore info, let me know. I will keep checking incase you put additional info on then i can reply. (Look at trip advisor site b4 you go, look in forums for more info)

  7. lol my mate used to work for club la costa. put it this way, they dont stay based in the same place for too long. its run by a group of dodgy gangsters

  8. was it timeshare are you to have a presentation if so yes its a con but go on the holiday sit through the presentation but do not i repeat do not take your credit card on the presentation otherwise you will walk out with a part share in a complex that you will kick yourself over when you get back home and wonder what the h**l you have signed for.99.9% of the time the holiday is ok but believe me if you have to go to a presentation its to sell you something and if you sign anything you cannot get out of it so beware leave your cards at the hotel safe cause i dont care what you say i wont buy no chance if you have a credit card you will buy.you cannot cancel if the company is not based in mainland britain the laws  for cooling off does not apply overseas

i worked for the paradise club in tenerife they used to send videos out to the british public and we would ring them up and sell weeks when we sold one resort they had us selling another that wasnt even built at the time when i queried it with this tosser that was in charge they pulled out of the office they rented never did get my commissions but i never got involved in that scam again so beware.

And to the t**t with his idiot brother if your on here i will meet you someday and shake hands with your windpipe

  9. i wish i could say Congratulations

but sadly most of these "holiday" prizes are a catch ,

be very careful ,how you respond to this ,

do not give bank details or

    personal details / passport  etc

I am sorry to say  , most of these are a scam

    good luck

    >^,,^<

  11. Iwouldn't touch it with a barge-pole,it's a scam.

  12. If you've got to pay any money to get your prize then it's a con.

  13. My parents own a week in Club La Costa. The resort is ok, the company seems to be serious and we also spent a couple of weekends there for free before my parents decided to buy (15 years ago). Anyway, I warn you that the selling method is very agressive and they'd try to make you feel really bad if you show that you're not interested at all from the beginning.

If you're interested in timeshare resorts go for it but I tell you that for the money you'll have to pay as yearly maintenance, you can get a nice weekend in a rented apartment or even in a nice hotel. Besides, you pay way too much money for it. Actually, if you want a week in that resort my parents will be glad to sell it to you for... let's say... 100€?

  14. Depends what company you will have to go to a boring sales meeting get offered aggressively a timeshare but if you keep saying no and demand your hoilday they will give you it but its not a nice experience and tends to be one way you need to get a return flight

  15. its a big con dont even think about attending meetings . no such thing as a free lunch
