Hi I have just received a replacement laptop charger for my HP Laptop?

Question

When I plugged it in a short while ago, I have noticed it cause my cursor to stop working when I use the trackpad, it is Not a offiicial HP charger, this on has in line filter just below the adpater that plugs in to my laptop, any ideas how I can resolve this problem please????

can you try disconnecting from charger & run on batteries

that you suspect charger

& btw, the posts above me are not answers, but spam and should be gone soon

and no i am not suggesting this as remedy, just diagnostics

Often the unofficial charges do not supply the correct voltage/current. You should check that the voltage is exactly correct under load (within quarter of a volt) the current stated on the charger nust be exactly as specified or greater.
