Hi. I just got a redtail shark. Its tail is a clearish orange color.?

Will it become a deep red color when it grows up?

Its not so much about the age of the fish as its diet, if you make sure you include some bloodworm into its diet the extra protiens and natural colouration will pass on to your shark and enhance its colours, may take a little time to kick in but be patient and you will see great results, will worn you while im here while red tail sharks are lovely they can be much more aggresive than people may lead you to believe so do be careful what fish you keep with it, i learned that the hard way.

the pale colour is due to stress. once the fish has settled into its new environment the red should come back. it will take a week or two before the fish is entirely settled in.
