While i was paying i had a resident card, well most common known as the ( greencard ) but my greencard is expired, and i´m not in the U.S right now I´m in mexico, i want to go up to the border and try to see if i can cross but i don´t know what will happend, But at the same time i want to go back and keep paying because i truthly don´t consider my self a ´dead-beat´´ dad. I think that if the inmigration don´t let me in it will be because officially i will be illigal right ??? so how can they make an illigal person pay child support ??? In my case i want to pay. I need all the help,or advise in the world !!!! Thank you.

  1. Having an EXPIRED green card would send up a red flag that you are attempting to enter the USA Illegally. Owing such a large sum of cash also shows that you have not paid child support in a long time. This is no accident and the authorities will view you as NOT BEING a RESPONSIBLE adult.

PAY FIRST, then correct all other problems you have with immigration...and get neutered.

you can get much information in this website, If you will check anyone blue link in website.

  3. You don't need to be in the US to send money to your kids.  Man up and take care of your children.

  4. While Citicop is correct that you don't need to be in the US to send money to your children, I understand the frustration of also wanting your visitation rights as well as the fact that it may be difficult to earn the money to send to your children while in Mexico. This can often result in child support accruing to large sums as you currently owe (or perhaps you owe that much do to how many children you have or how much money you made while in the US - NOT b/c you weren't paying timely).

Theoretically, child support extends to even the farthest corners of the Earth. Technically, you can not be forced to pay child support b/c you are not here. That does not mean, however, that you would not be jailed if you were to return (and not necessarily b/c you returned as an "illegal" immigrant, but b/c you owed so much child support).

You can talk to an attorney (will cost some money). Otherwise, here are some steps you can take on your own:

If you have the money and don't have any quams regarding seeing your children, then by all means simply send the funds to them in the form of a check (personal, cashier's or money order) via Fed Ex or another overseas postal service where the recipient has to sign in order to receive the package.

If you would like to continue visitation (if you had visitation to begin with, that is), then begin the process to regain the right to enter the country. Once here, you can pick up paying the child support as well as continuing any relationship you had with your children.

  5. News for you, You are already a deadbeat dad by letting it rise to such an amount!!! Get a job and pay it then start trying to come here legally!!! What gets me is you have not said one thing about seeing or being able to watch your children grow, you are just worried about getting over the border, you are definitely a deadbeat dad in the worst way!!

  6. As a Cali public school teacher, I see the results of men impregnating women only to leave their children behind. $10K would buy many pairs of shoes, books, lunches and toys.

Claiming you're not a dead beat dad is in direct opposition to the actual result of your behavior. Your actions prove you ARE a dead beat dad.

Take a bow, and shame on you.

The little "expired greencard" thing will land you in jail, should you dare to enter the USA. There is a cell with your name on it.
