Hi! I want to become a fashion merchandising buyer and was wondering if some could help me out on schools...?

I am going to a university in my state which is in michigan but want to transfer to a GREAT fashion school.. I know you have to move out to California or New York but I'm not sure of what are the best schools.. I know of FIDM in California but I heard it wasn't that good.. Also Parsons and FIT in New York but dont really know much about those schools..I was hoping someone could help me out..thanks!

This website has the best uk & us fashion college as well as on-line fashion design schools where you can start on-line courses to improve your knowledge about a certain area of fashion like design or marketing.

Hi!

Well I don't know where you heard that FIDM wasn't a good school . . . but I can tell you that from the things I've heard about FIDM from my friends who graduated from there and from the publicity they've gotten on such shows as Project Runway and The Hills, the school is awesome!

My friends also loved their educational experience and it landed them killer jobs (one is a celebrity stylist and LOVES her job). This is thanks to the awesome faculty who still work in their fields, compared to many other schools who the teachers have been teaching for like YEARS and have no current experience in their fields to pass along to their students.

FIDM is also located just blocks away from the Fashion District in downtown LA! Many FIDM students have utilized this to their advantage by visiting the district for their projects and to even grab the latest fashions!

The career center is also very important to know in great detail as they are the HUB of the college. Because FIDM has a great reputation in the fashion industry, they get great job leads which in return get passed along to the students! The career center is also open to students even years after they graduate, which is pretty awesome!
