The car was insured, but not for me to drive, as I only passed my test a year ago if I get 6 points I have to resit the test.

  1. yup worst luck its 6 points and a £125 fine...suprised they didnt lift the car..that would have been another £105 plus £12 per day storage...sadlly its a resit for you....

  2. are you sure about a retest you will get at least 6 points that's not a ban but it will cost you a fortune to get any insurance for the next five years

  3. i think the points shouldnt be more than four

  4. gess what you will be band for 6months to a year orderd to reset your test  and when you go to get insurence it will be sky high it was a stupid thing to do

  5. Oh you will be banned!  Automatically, and your insurance premium will HURT you for the next FIVE years.  Don't think of not telling your insurers, as they are linked to the DVLA computer anyway, and will dis-own you if you lie to them.  Making false declarations to your insurers is also a CRIMINAL offence, so just don't!

They may cancel the insurance you do have with them.  What you did is viewed as a Very Bad Thing.  Oh, and there will be a fine for you too.  Oh yes.

So, insurance.  Every time you get behind a wheel, ask yourself if you are covered for THAT car.

  6. Guaranteed ban, serves you right I'm afraid, I've been hit by an uninsured driver in the past.

  7. The standard is in fact 6 - 8 points, plus a hefty fine. Perhaps they'll be sympathetic.

  8. 3 point and a £80 fine  but when you goto court with a low top and you might get off

  9. IN10 on your license. 6 pts and a fine

  10. unfortunatly six points my friend

  11. you will get an in10

if you get 6 points within the first two years of passing your test your licence is revoked and its a re test to get back on the road im afraid

and this will also cost you on your insurance premiums

  12. The question that I would like answered is, did you know that you were not insured ?, if you did know then I hope that you get severely treated, I would hate to have an accident with an uninsured driver, thus ruining my insurance record, perhaps if the penalties were enough to deter people from driving illegally you would not have taken the risk, if you thought that you were insured, then I have some sympathy with you but the onus is on you to be sure that you are insured, you obviously went through the ordeal and expense of getting a full license, why would you risk losing it.
