Hi. Is it cheaper to book a flight early or two weeks before I leave??

I am more than likely riding up to Colorado in early August. However I am going to fly on a one way ticket to Little Rock, Arkansas, where I reside close to, and I dont know if its cheaper to buy the ticket now or two or three weeks before the flight. Help me please

Buy with at least 1 month or 3 weeks in advance. That's what I do and I get incredibly low fares, of course, I fly Spirit. But, please don't buy a year or many months in advance, the tickets will be very expensive.

Prices change daily.  But it is best to book early.  Pick an airline, and check EVERY day on ticket prices.  Sometimes check once or twice a day.  I just bought tickets, i checked the price call my husband and ask what time he wanted to leave and about an hour later when back to book them and they went down again!!!! About 5 mins after booking I called my brother, telling him to book now, and he got online and the price had already gone up!!!

It should be cheaper for 2 reasons

1. The earlier you buy it the cheaper

2. School is about to be out and people are going to be traveling like crazy, so the price definetely will go up.
