  1. definitely go to your local vet and check it out!

  2. 1. Stop wiping it away- the irritation is probably making it come back faster.

    2. Most causes of the 'goo' are bad news. I would recommend having it seen by a vet soon. Some possibilities include eye injury, eye infections, respiratory infections, and so on.

  3. take it to a vet but make sure it is a good reptile vet. the vet will probably give you an ointment to rub on his eyes.

  4. you need to take your tortoise to a vet who knows tortoises  Eye infections usually respond to treatment with either Genoptic (gentamycin) eye drops or terracortril eye suspension. Mild cases respond to Neomycin or Chloramphenicol eye ointment. Where you see severely swollen eyelids there is usually a primary bacterial infection in which case a course of antibiotics will be essential. Some eye problems are simply an indication of vitamin A deficiency. Supply vitamin A and use a mild eye ointment, if the condition does not respond fairly quickly get veterinary help. eye infections need to be treated or you will end up with a very sick tortoise
