Hi! My friends and I have a seven-hour a.m. layover in London. What are da must-dos and must-eats in London?

We will be landing at LHR at 7:00 a.m. local time and departing at 2:30 p.m. What can we do in that time that's inexpensive and not too far from the airport? Where are the best restaurants in the city for an English breakfast and how would we get to them?

Do an open top bus tour. see everything. allow for about three hours £24 go to Green Park on the Picadilly line, it's the start of the tour, first bus 8:30.

That isn't a lot of time. You have to brutal about your priorities. Unfortunately the neighborhood right around the airport is a disaster. It is very ugly and very expensive places to eat breakfast. You need to go to central London.

   You'll see a million signs for the Heathrow Express, the fastest way to central London. It is fast, but it puts you in a part of town without much to see. You end up switching to the tube, and losing all the time you supposedly saved getting there.

  The Piccadilly (blue) line goes from the airport into central london. I would suggest buying a day pass, riding from the airport to one stop and walking to a different stop so that you don't walk more than 2 miles and you walk by interesting things and have a chance to eat.

   My personal suggestion would be to get off at the "South Kensington" stop and walk to "Green Park" That way you are walking down Brompton  Street with a lots of  nice restaurants and a nice traditional pub. You walk right by Harrods Dept Store (where they serve food as well). Buckingham Palace is nearby.

  There are other stops and different itineraries, but I would suggest that you stay along the Piccadilly line so that you can jump back on if you are running late. I would forego Big Ben which is far from the underground line.

u should visit oxford strt...take a quick 3 hour tour around london...visit big ben..and thats about all....1 hr ride to oxford from heathrow
