chances are they will stamp you passport on the last page  (Amended )  and will have Ur right spelling of your name

You must be having the documents showing your correct name in your birth certificate, matriculation or 10th grade certificate etc.

Just re submit the documents along with a letter to the Passport Officer nearest to you saying about the printing mistake. Meet the said officer yourself or the printing section incharge to get the thing corrected.

But be sure that you had not written your name as P.ARVA while applying for the passport in the form. In case it was your mistake than you have to loadge an FIR stating the same and that you need a fresh passport with your correct name.

Otherwise as long as the mistake is by the Passport print department, the data entry operator just before print out is the culprit and therefore the Passport office is bound to issue you a fresh passport with the same number and required correction.

You cannot corrrect it yourself. u have to go to Regional Passport Office and meet the PRO with sufficient proof about your correct name ( if u had written the correct name in the passport application, it would be corrected immediately, but if the name on your passport and the name written by u in the application form for passport,is same, then god help u .

Apply for a change of name in the passport. If you have documents to prove your actual name, then attach them to the passport change of name form and submit. You may even have to attach an affidavit along with it. Any notary should be able to help you with that. Or, just go to any authorised passport agents, they will take care of everything.
