Hi. Researching Hollobone/Hollebone familys in UK, branching out to USA & Canada.?

Question

I know there were Hollebones in NY 1901 who later went to Canada. More settled in Milwaukee Wisconsin 1860 onwards. If anyone knows any good web sites & or advice in USA or Canada they would be most appreciated.

Ps I know Ancestry are good but they cost $350 which is a bit much.

is quite small, but it is devoted to the Holl*bone surname, where "*" seems to be any vowel.

GenForum and Ancestry both have query boards for every county in every state in the USA and for most counties in most provinces in Canada.

With a name as rare as that, don't overlook Google, a reseource those of us whose surname is also a common noun AND a verb can't really use.
