Hi Rumble set to finish first in Standard Dup
Hi Rumble is all set to clinch top spot in the high-stakes contest of Bedford Road Standard Dup that will take place at Henlow track on Thursday night, April 19.
The Open Race over a distance of 460 meters is scheduled to begin at 21:15 (GMT). The prize purse contains £150. Hi Rumble will show his guts against Millwards Blag, Offshore Rebel, Mullpark Nelson, Blackrose Boss and Coyote Bluff.
Since the dawn of 2012, the D. Elliott-trained black dog has been delivering impressive performances at the same racecourse where he is going to sizzle tonight.
After winning a big race on January 27, the four-year-old veteran hound went ahead to bag a couple of consecutive triumphs in the month of February.
The brilliant son of Ace Hi Rumble out of Sizzler Lady marvellously accomplished a fabulous hat-trick during March. He finished 3rd in his last outing on April 12.
This excellent success streak has boosted up the dog’s morale greatly along with establishing him as the hot favourite runner in the betting market.
Currently, Hi Rumble owns the highest odds coupled with sky-rocketing momentum which will help him make a big impact in Standard Dup. His chances to finish first are as high as 95 percent provided he keeps his stamina intact.
However, some of the dashing dog’s competitors like Millwards Blag and Offshore Rebel can trigger upsets on the track.
Millwards Blag is on a hat-trick at the moment. P. Young’s novice dog elegantly clinched top spots in two back-to-back races during the first decade of April 2012. Prior to this, the son of Killahan Phanter out of Droopys Gucci had registered an epic hat-trick
during January-February.
On the other hand, Offshore Rebel won four races in a row from January 3 to January 26, 2012. The P. Simmonds-trained blue dog stepped ahead to earn a runner-up position on February 13. He finished 3rd each in his last two outings.
In this situation, a rip-roaring clash is expected at Henlow. Hi Rumble will have to fight with his back to the wall in order to keep his head high. Good luck to the talented dog.
