After 51 years of independence also india has not developed itself in terms of industrialisation. As of now also about 60% of the population depends upon agriculture.

Is it only the government and not the duty of local people also to show thier enthusiasm towards development of thier area, and not completely depend upon the government.

why cant people themselves join hands and start small enterprises than simply migrating and not taking any risk.

Atleast some percentage of people are everywhere who can initiate and take small risks and try to employ some people.

Sudont you think such people should come forward and start a new revolution to industialise the rural india.

it will happen only with the support of the locals and not the government alone....!!

I need some people with the idea to empower the poor with jobs in thier own locality.

  1. Well, first off I don't see how it's any of the governments business where people want to live. If there are jobs in the people's home town that's the only reason for them to stay. I don't know alot about India but this was my first thought when I read your question.

  2. Firstly Government must exit from being in Business. They must regulate Law and order, security and all sovereign functions that are important to the state. They must partner with private players in developing infrastructure and leave all businesses to the private sector where people take  responsibility and deliver.  This will result in  market forces at play. For example, there is so much tourism possible in India, but under the government our tourism is only dying.

I hope the Government wakes up and does the needful

  3. you tell that "after 51 years of independence also india has not developed it self in terms of industrialisation" i tell that it is not correct of 100%.India was developed  many steps from 51 years in industrialization.you tell that 60% of people is depends up on agriculture only it is correct and you recognize that the agriculture is back bone of india.Where agriculture is developed in that place automatically industries also developed.

the most importent thing that not developing of industries in india is the government that is it provides that only (encourage) rich people it dont encourage small and poor people.Another one is ill iteration. It is very much in india.

The literates go another countries because there is so many facilities compare to india in industralisation

  4. 1.The govt should make every village independent in amenities-water, Primary health centres, education,,employment. villages to feel self sufficient  for basic necessities so they will not go in search of the same to the neighbouring towns, cities and settle down there and increase the population in those places.

    2.Educate &encorage village collective to start co-operative farming,small &mediam scale industries.

    3.  Cottage industries are tobe encouraged to be flourished at grassroute levlel & peoples are to be encouraged to take the help of science to moderanise for easy adoptability in the presentday condition.

    4. Improve road/rail connectivity, communication, entertainment network all to the villages.

    5. Educated the rich in the villages to investsurplus money in starting initially on pilotprojects in cottage industries which needs minimum investment &returns would be verygood.Once they get good dividends for their investment they and others are encouraged for furtherinvestment

  5. i think they need to set up incentives and other things to support business.  Write a bankruptcy law , to encourage people to take risks.  Work with banks to give business small business loans.  GIve any business tax breaks.   Encourage people to step up and help create an evironment that this is possible.

  6. hmm.your question makes a lot of sense...

well i belive maximum num of people migrate home towns due to lack of opportunity and resources.

govt should set up more job oppurtunities for the mass so that an individual does not have to leave home and go around places, that will also prevent the over population problem in metropolitan citis.

jobs should be given on the basis of knowledge and skills and not on the basis of who-knows-whom...

some laws should be framed for the unprevilaged class as well.

  7. Government can inflict can tax for those who study in India and choose to work abroad.

Else governmaent can make an option in the form fillling for colleges here asking that if the student want to work abroad and can offer some reservations to those who opt to work in India.

  8. Yes Mr. Pravin , this question was there in my mind for so many days, and you had come up with.

I do agree that most of our population depends upon agriculture.

This space is very limited to solve this problem , if we all feel that something have to be done , then we have to come together ( Like minded peoples). At least there would be one like minded person in all the cities of India, as we can do for our peoples.

I really feel so , pls let us come together in yahoo group.

Mr. Pravin pls add my mail id prash_m@yahoo.com in group, so we can work out.

  9. Unfortunately your question describes a "planned economy", where the central government attempts to control where and how people work/live. This has been shown to be a bureaucratic nightmare in several failed communist countries.

Industrialization is a slow and painful process and has been for every country that has made the difficult move from a largely agrarian economy to an urban economy. I don't know that India has actually failed at this point, it just might not be near finished!

What can be done? Microcredit projects funded by development non-profits have been shown to be very successful at giving people opportunities to start their own businesses. Unfortunately very few people are actually creative in a business-oriented way. Coming up with a new, unique business in their location might not be as easy as you think.

But one of the above posters is correct: The first step is to provide rural areas with basic amenities like running water and sanitation, as well as education and training for non-urban jobs.

  10. We must promote cottage and small scale industry so job could be available at grass root level.

  11. improve their states too. that's all. who will go to 5 star  hotel if one can find a better quality food being served at low price in a small hotel.

  12. People can and should go where they choose to go.
