I mean for men, at what particular occasions can you wear these? I personally prefer cravats....

  2. Maybe at a fancy dress occasion.  I mean to say....any time you want if that's your thing but they're a bit old fashioned.  The last time I saw one was in the movie - The Scarlet Pimpernel.
