Hi! Why do dogs haul or bark when sirens are ringing (like ambulance or police sirence).?

I have a question. How come when ambulances pass and their sirens are ringing (or police cars sirens) my dog or other dogs being to haul. Like auuhhh.. I've always wonderd why they do that.

  1. they howl and bark at sirens and other loud noises because it's a loud noise. Dog's ears are very sensitive to loud noises.


  2. High pitched sounds like sirens hurt dogs ears.  They are howling because they don't like the sound.

  8. Could it be that dogs hear at least 6 times better that humans do therefore making loud shrill sounds painful?  If so, I might howl, too.
