i am VERY scared. some of my "natural birth gung-ho" friends are kind of making me feel bad about it because i decided not to do a version because the doctor said in my type of breech it probably wont work. Arent c sections pretty safe?? im at Cedars Sinai in Beverly Hills so i have been counting on such a fancy hospital to know what they are doing!!! Anyone here have successful c sections or have any good info for me?? much appreciated!!

  1. I've had two with no problem good luck

  2. C Sections are VERY SAFE, TONS of women have had them, and recovered just fine!

Just keep with the positive thinking, and talk to your doctor before hand so you can be prepared for everything that will happen throughout the course of the delivery.

    Best of luck! :)

  3. I had c-section about 7 months ago. Everything went fine. The only bad part was feeling them pull on my tummy. Otherwise, everything went perfectly fine. Nowadays doctors are more careful when it comes to c-section. Don't worry about it. You and your baby will be perfectly fine.

    Congrats on your baby though!

  4. c sections are safe unless something happens

  5. They should not make you feel bad!!

I was frank breech and back then they tried delivering frank breech babies vaginally. My mom was in labor for 36 hours with me and I would not come out. Finally they did a c-section and discovered I had an extra long cord that wrapped around me and caused me to become stuck in the frank breech position. With that info they concluded it would have been very dangerous to deliver me vaginally if that had been successful. A c-section in this case is the best option.

  6. I had a c-section, tho it wasn't planned and it wasn't what I wanted.  Mine went well though, and it is becoming a very routine surgery.  You shouldn't have any problems.  The worst thing afterwards was how badly my ankles swelled.  I thought they wound never go back to how they were again.
