Hi all, i was just wondering where you can buy the original tamagotchis, i think they came out in 96 or 97?

The ones that the box flipped open ect. or one similar to that, also if you cant answer this for me, convince me why the new tamagotchis would be worth looking into.....

I think you can only get it at China.

That is where they made it and at google i searched a lot, and they had a lot of people haveing old-fashioned tamagotchis.

Stores today don't sell those tamagotchis anymore so you'll have to but one online. And I'm convincing you to buy one of the new tamagotchis because they are new and improved and they are WAY WAY better! They actually call (by beeping) you so that means that you don't have to look at your tama every second. Also there are WAY more characters and the games are better. Also on the new ones you get to go online and buy things and play games with your tama! Trust me, it will be better off if you get one of the newer ones.

That's a hard thing to determine.  I'm sure if you looked on eBay!, you could find at least one or two items up for grabs.  Otherwise, you may have to contact the manufacturer, and I think the "main headquarters" is at either China or Japan.
