  1. By double lens do you mean bifocals? Two different powers in the same lens, you use one for far away and one for up close?

    If the above is what you mean, then...

    Yes, they do make bifocal contacts, they are disposables, just like other contacts. You can also use contacts for correcting your distance vision and wear reading glasses over them when needed or your can do mono vision- that means one eye is corrected for distance and one eye is corrected for reading.

    Lasik- we can't correct both eyes for distance and reading, but you can have it done in mono vision or you can correct the distance and wear reading glasses as needed.


  2. I have the mono ones, one for reading one for distance, they are monthly disposable.  just changed to them recently.  They have made a big difference as I dont need glasses for reading all the time now, and I can read the labels in supermarkets.

    I have read that if you do have laser work done, your eyes can deteriorate again, so I wouldnt look on it as permanent.

  3. depends on bad you eyes are and if the surgeon will do laser.
