  1. June.....it isn't a good for travel in Egypt.........

  2. yes you can go in the small one! its really hot in there and there isn't much space to move around but it really is worth doing. i wouldn't go in if you tend to have panic attacks though, because when we went a boy had to be rush out because he was claustrophobic! :D

  3. in October , the weather is better than in June .

    so, good choice .

yes, you can go in the Pyramid .

    you pay a small fare , about 50 Egyptian Pounds , ie , less than 10 $ or 5 Sterling .

dont miss having photos with /on a camel with the pyramids in the background .

the Sphinx is close to the Pyramids .

take photos with the Sphinx as well .

you will love your trip and enjoy every bit of it .

  4. Yes you can enter the pyramids.

The pyramid of Cheops which is the largest and most perfect pyramid in Egypt is open to 150 visitors in the morning starting at 8 am, and to 150 visitors in the afternoon starting 1.30 pm.

You can enter the area of the pyramids from 8am-4pm. Entering the area of the pyramids and sphinx costs 50 Egyptian pounds.

To enter inside the large pyramid of Cheops you pay an optional fee of 100 Egyptian pounds and you enter without your camera.

To enter in the middle pyramid of Chfren you pay 25 pounds and you enter without your camera. It is open to visitors all day from 8 am till 4 pm.

The third pyramid is closed at the moment for restorations.

  5. it's hottttttttttttttttt in june

  6. Yes James, you can go into the pyramids. Usually there is a long queue to get in. We went very very early in the morning to beat the heat - you are well advised to do this - and still found the queues very long.

Entering the Great Pyramid, you follow others in a single file, the flooring is uneven - some pyramids have put wooden lathes across the floor to prevent slipping. There is usually a hand rail to hold on to. The walkways are usually downhill. You will have to crouch down in  most areas of the walkways, until you come to the big rooms. When you come to the Grand Gallery you will gradually rise to the King’s Chamber with a stepped hall. This hall is 49 meters long and11 meters high. The walls are made of polished sand stone with roofing that overlaps stone blocks to create a stepped effect. Its architecture was thought to once be a ramp for large giant blocks said to seal the pyramid for eternal life. From the bottom of this hall you can choose to enter the Queen’s Chamber or proceed to the top and enter the King’s Chamber.

If you go to the Step Pyramid (Saqqara), you have to climb up to the doorway, this climb is a bit rough, but its ok. Then when you get inside...you go downhill. It is well worth a visit, and not far from Giza.

Unfortunately the powers-that-be do not allow you to take your camera inside the pyramid - they would rather you buy photos from the locals - there are plenty of them touting their wares around the site of the pyramids.

By the way, if you go to Upper Egypt and visit the tombs, they allow you to take your camera in there - for a gigantic fee!!!

It is a wonderful country to visit, have a really enjoyable time in Egypt.

    :)

  7. Yes you can go into the Pyramids although the guides will probably say don't bother.  You walk inside single file behind a long Q for about 10 minutes hunched over to walk into a large room, after that 10 minutes hunched over to get back out.  The Room is a tomb but it has been looted and all the items are in museums.  We went in and were glad we did just to know we had done it.

Beware of the sellers around you that will put items in your hand and not take it back until you've brought it. Place the item on the floor and walk away.  This may seem rude but it's the only way.  Also if you get on a camel agree a price before otherwise they will charge you to get off (quite funny really)

An amazing place though and worth a visit. Enjoy.

  8. Yes you can. The tomb was deep down the pyramid and you had to crouch down this narrow passage to you walked inside the tomb. could stand up straight in the tomb, found the who experience a bit claustrophobic.

  9. ughhh another stupid question, yes u can go in the pyramid and yes you can ride the camel and yes you can even walk on the sand omg isn't that amazing?
