Hi can any body tell me of some fantastic places to eat in sydney cbd which cater to a student budget and?

The food court  in the shopping centre about half way down Dixon Street in China Town. You can get a great cheap and nutritious meal and usually get change out of $10.00. I used to get a  meat and veggie stir-fry, a small bowl of rice and a small bowl of  soup at the Vietnamese place in that food court for $8.90. Theres also a great Italian place up near the 3 Wise Monkeys Bar in George Street  which  used to do $5.00 pasta nights every Tuesday, I think it was called Mamas, Its been 3 years since I lived in Sydney  though so I'm not sure if its still there. If youre really desperate the Hare Krishnas have a mobile  food van at the Newtown Community Centre  at 6.00pm weekdays (opposite the Train Station).

yeah, dont tell anyone, but there are places all over the place that do $5-$10 meals, both big breakfasts, lunches and dinners. heaps.

just look for the signs on the sides of the restaurants/cafes/pubs/whatever.
