We are planning to get married in 2010 with potentially around 150 - 300 guests. We want it on the beach but obviously need a hotel that will also cater for this amount of peeps (african n english catering). I've looked on virgin hols but too expensive to going to book it all at the other end as also have family in the US but not in Florida so need some ideas please.

  1. Hi!  We just got married last year on Sanibel/Captiva islands, which are on the gulfcoast (my husband is from Ft. Myers).  While we were planning, the boards over on http://www.theknot.com/talk were invaluable!

There's a local West Coast Florida board and the girls on there are great with advice and suggestions for vendors.  (The ones I can think of off the top of my head are the Crosley Mansion, The Rusty Pelican and the Don Cesar hotel).  I would suggest going over there and start asking questions!

In the meantime, here's a webpage that one of the girls set up with West Coast Florida vendor info...

    http://westcoastflorida.googlepages.com/...

(scroll down on the very first page that comes up and you'll see a list of places)
