  1. Where is 'Southern Ireland'? Wexford?

The name of the country is Ireland, not 'Southern Ireland'. The 'Republic of Ireland' is just about acceptable, but 'Southern Ireland' is not. Under no circumstances refer to it as 'Éire' unless you are speaking 'as Gaeilge'.

It is an expensive place to visit. The economy is booming and prices are rising.

  2. If it is or not, don't miss it for the world.

Check out Cork city, and the mountains of Kerry.

  3. Yes it is,but you will have a great time,it's a beautiful country & you will make friends easily.

  4. Yes, Ireland is very expensive. We live in Co Roscommon, (although I'm in England UK at the moment), and we have found the prices very high.  We shop in the north as prices are cheaper. but don't let the prices stop you going to Ireland. The people are wonderful. I have never felt so at home in my life.  So just put a bit more money aside and make the journey, the people will make you forget any woes.

    Enjoy your visit

  5. No hun, you can get loads of cheap flights e.g-bmibaby.com, flybe.com etc. (if you travel Ryanair you will need a passport) you will need picture i.d to visit anyway. You can go National Express and get a Eurolines Ferry, for £42.50 return (book at

    http://www.nationalexpress.co.uk

and you would probably have to get a train from Dublin to Galway (if thats where you wanted to go) thats about £20, which you can get at Dublin Central station when you get there or you can get a bus from the Dublin Busaras (coach station) that goes to Galway.  Galway is a beautiful place, I hope you really enjoy yourself, the general cost of living there, is about the same as in most parts of England, but it is quite a bit cheaper than Dublin.  Good Luck and safe journey xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  6. nope its not & im from the north

  7. Food & drink seem to be dearer, Motor fuel about 80p per litre. Cigarettes slightly cheaper. People are very friendly. Definately worth a visit , and they speak English not Irish, Their grammar seems to be better than in similar places in England. Don't forget to change your money to EUROS Crime is no better or worse than in Britain

  8. it not southern ireland , its just plain IRELAND

  9. Its not too bad. I went to Cork a  year ago, cheap flights from Southampton. Great city, would recommend it. Booked flights and hotel on the Internet too which saves a bit more for spending when you are there!

  10. Its ok

  11. yes it is i wouldnt bother coming, the place is full of leprachauns and drunken men on guiness lol on a serious note yeah it is kind of expensive, but its worth seeing leprachauns isnt it? cos if not im wastngmy time, with my leprachaun tour?>
