  1. does she keep her head turned to one side all the time? if so its probably an ear infection, their ears are their equilibrium and could be the cause

  2. my rat has that problem to. it could be she is losing the control on her hind legs. that is the problem with my rat. but my rat is a fighter and is doing awesome. but your rat also may have an ear infection. rub her ears gently and see if she shows any signs of pain. and see if she tips her head to the side. if u try both and both come out negative then its not an ear infection. and she just may be losing the control of her hind legs which will result in bad balance. put her food on a low plate. that way she doesn't have to reach over a bowl. and she may have to lay down and eat. my rat did that for awhile. and u could also hold her food for her.

    hope this helped!!

  3. I can think of two possibilities:

    1) An ear infection. This can affect their balance.

    2) A stroke. This can affect the rat's balance and also partially paralyze the rat.

In both cases, you need to take the rat to the vet pronto, who should if 1) give the rat antibiotics, or if 2) see where you can go from there.

  4. She probably has an ear infection

  5. Please take your poor rat to a good vet. They sound very sick.
