  1. hi

A good car when it came out, but time i think has not been kind to it.

The looks of the car let it down the most.

Nearly everyone you see has been modded by the lexus lights and big tail pipe pratts.

Its a shame because a nice original car in 2.0 16v and turbo form are good cars.

The 2.5 v6 is a swine to fix as i know a guy at work who has a SE9 version in red.

If you get one make sure it has Black LEATHER and not that F..k horrible grey they put in vauxhalls.

I would get a late plate 16v ecotec with low mileage and as near to one owner as possible.

Or a car that has had an owner for many years with lots of bills.

High mileage is fine if the car has full history.

To be honest a cavalier is the one to go for as everybodys dad had one and i think they will be future classics as nice ones are getting hard to find now, a bit like the cally you obviously like.

The answer though to your question is the cally is o.k. but a 16v cavy is the better car, with less image and boy racer abuse.

For 3000 grand you can get an absolute pearler 2.0 turbo cally or cavy.

    The choice is yours.

  2. Just a Cavalier with less legroom & headroom.

Usually been 'pimped' at some time.

Mostly all now very tired, there are far more interesting cars about.

My wife had a 2.0i -16, laughably slower than my Volvo 440 at the time.

  3. Def one of the best cars i ever owned and i have owned a good few ,My wife is thinking about having another one for her to use .

We had an se7 ecotec version which was really great and a pleasure to drive, infact it was nice and easy to drive, very comfy and pretty fast for what it was.

I would def have another one as a second car,but have to have Leather interior again as it looked great to use.So yep def get one while you still can as there getting old now and into high mileage etc.

our old calbra and we did change the front bumper as pic was after someone snapped it.

  4. very dated

  5. Awful. It was built in the period when Vauxhall-Opal had forgotten how to design a decent car.

Thankfully they woken up over last few years with the death of the Vectra all the rubbish and rep-mobiles have finally gone.

  6. its rubbish.

basically it was a nice shape that was a vauxhall cavilier.

Inside you are driving a rep-mobile, and a rubbish one at that.

They look ok from the outside.

So, are you buying a car for yoursefl, or for others to look at. Because if you are buying it for yourself you would be better lookign elsewhere.

  7. It sold in relatively small numbers, was never a success but could be a very good car if in good condition.

It could very well become a classic one day if in good condition after all we only miss something when it's gone!
