Um, Excuse me, could you please go out and come in properly?

Or is it better to say? Could you please go out and reenter properly. It is supposed to be referred to the pupils by the teachers (it is about a book ia m talking, sorry if it sounds odd)

  1. reenter sounds better

  2. Um, excuse me, could you go out and come back in properly, please?

    Come back in is more specific  request while re-enter is a more formal word. But you could use either one. A teacher would probably say; Would you and re-enter properly, please? I do not believe a teacher would put please in the middle of the sentence.

    Problems of pollution could be used in almost any way and sound good. but if you addressing a specific you would use the problem of pollution.

    Example;

    Many cities cannot cope with the problem of pollution.

    Problems of pollution require boil water warnings in many communities.

  3. Stop!  Exit and reenter as you've been instructed.  It's a command by someone who has the authority to make it.  This way, you're also reminding them that they have been taught to do it properly, or at least in a certain way.  Kids forget.

  4. Either would be considered acceptable, though the proper phrase would be something like: "Excuse me, would you please go out and come in (or re-enter) properly?"

    The word "could" in this instance means "is it possible to."  "Would", on the other hand, is more of a command - which is what I'm assuming you're looking for.

  5. "Could you please go out and then enter the room again...but this time do it properly"

  6. re-enter would sound better, but i fink its like a phrase thats been passed on through the generations and clearly someone with logic like you haven't had the sense to change it lol

  7. My teachers would never have been so polite as to say, "Um, excuse me, could you please..." - it sounds far too submissive.  They were more likely to use an assertive tone and say something like, "Please go out and come back in properly", and may even have not said please!

    I think "problems of pollution" is probably better but it really depends on the context you want to use the phrase in.
