  1. I thought it was a gift, I ve done so many mocks, and this was the easiest one Ive seen, I did question 2 about the way description is presented.. By the way, I got told by my teacher you should never compare a poem from cluster two, to a poem from cluster 1, as it doesnt get you many marks, you should compare poems from the same cluster..

Anyway, the fact that I was really ill yesterday, had a bad effect in my exam.. My teacher took me to the doctors and got a note, as they can send it off with the exam, so the examiners could take my illness into consideration.. If I wasnt I would have done so much better.. However Iam really pleased with my poetry comparison.. But Im not as comfortable on my writing to inform.. I dont think it turned out very well, I hope they do take the note into consideration, because I know I would have done so much better if I didnt feel so terrible..

I didnt finish off my paper one, but I was dead on time this time.. I really hope for a B in English, but i dont reckon I'll get it :(

  2. I compared it with Limbo.

It was quite easy, I personally reckon.

Section B I did the question on who I admire.. I admire Leona Lewis... I wrote to much about her...I hope I can get my C to do my A-level..

  3. i did 'Search For My Tongue' and 'Presents from my Aunts...'. i think i did ok

and i did question 6 the describe and explain one. it was probably the easiest one :D

  4. I assume this is the GCSE literature paper.

I'm sure you've done fine as long as you actually answered the question and in question 6 made your personal feelings and experiences relevant to the question.

I sat that paper last year, I'm sure you've done well.

  5. You did good. I didnt do nothings changed :( I wish I did, because that was the best choice  :) I did so bad on this paper :/

  6. hi, i found the exam paper easier than paper 1

i compared two scavengers with island man

also for section B i did question 3 (the letter to an education minister informing them what can be done to improve education for teenagers).

for the letter i said that schools should decrease the amount of pupils in each class from 30 to 20, and i said schools need to hire more proffessional teachers because children don't learn anything from supply teachers as their normal teachers are often absent. also i said teachers should care more for the pupils and with smaller classes the teachers can give better one-on-one learning.

do those topics that i wrote about sound alright? i used lots of statistics and rhetorical questions. im really hoping for a B grade.

also on paper 1, section B

    i did the argue question

    the question was:

    Q) Older people blame younger people for today's problems. write an article arguing that older people are actually to blame.

i did a formal article because i thought the audience was older people however alot of my friends told me it was meant to be for younger kids so it was meant to be informal, can someone please tell me if i have messed this up? couldn't i have wrote it for either audience?

    please reply soon

  7. Hiya! Yer i did it, i compared Limbo cos it has subtle links to lack of personal choice, but Nothings changed is also a very good choice! N i did dream world all the Way :) gotta love it! x*x

  8. I'm on AQA and did cluster one on the 1st section and the letter one in the second

    It was easy

    x*x

  9. I did "Search fro my tongue" and "This Room" for the question about description, I think it went well =]

The only worry I have is that I chose the question that asked you to choose a famous person you admire and explain why...I think my writing ended up being a bit like a reveiw rather than an explanation...I used a lot of persuading techniques, mainly because I got quite enthusiastic about it. Does anybody know if that's alright?

  10. I chose to do Question 2 on Section A. I compared 'Search for my Tongue' and 'Hurricane Hits England'. For section B, I did Question 3 - it was the most easiest. :p

I just hope I did good on it and get a C!

  11. I thought the paper went well.

I compared 'Two Scavengers In A Truck....' with 'Island Man' but your choice is fine.

I'm sure your answer for number three is correct. I did question three in that section.

  12. that paper was great, i compared two scavengers with island man. I was going to do nothings changed but the layout was too hard to write about. For section B i did question 3 and i informed the minister for education how to improve education for teenagers! It was quite a good paper overall, I think most of the exams have been alright so far!

  13. I did question 3 and compared Presents from my Aunts in Pakistan and Search for my tongue.

And then question 4, Write to education minister.

I thought the questions were quite good, easier than paper 1.

  14. Yeah, i did the same questions as you! But i compared Two scavengers with island man, but yours sounds fine! Question 6- i did my aunties operation. Yeah as long as it didn't sound like a story it should be fine! It sounds like you wrote from the heart! which will improve your mark. i found it ok but i feel i should have revised the poems more! I have no idea how they will find my question 6 though.

Hope you get the grade you want- its sounds really good.

  15. I compared it with 'Island Man'.

There's no such thing as a good choice or a bad choice. You could compare it with any Cluster 1/Cluster 2 poem as long as you had reason to do so and stated your evidence clearly. The examiner appreciates original thinking.

  16. I compared 'Two Scavengers' with 'What Were They Like?'. 'Nothing's Changed' would've been my second choice, but I thought 'What Were They Like?' would be better for layout and language.

I did question 5, as describe questions are a gift!

It wasn't too hard, I was really pleased with the poetry question!

Hope everyone else's went oK! :)
