Hi does anyone know if faux fur (an acrylic ushanka hat) is hand/ machine washable? Ta awfully. Buck.

I work in -28C, need to keep my head warm, but also need to wash my hat regularly, lest it gets smelly, as the rabbit fur ushanka has. Thanks again.

Hand wash in the sink in fairly warm water with Woolite, then squeeze out excess moisture, reshape by stuffing with newspapers,  and allow to air dry. This ought to work well without causing any damage.
