  1. This depends on how nice your stuff is....what kind of car you own and how nice it is....Germany is expensive in the furniture dept.  I would say to bring everything and if you want to buy new then you can do that once your here and you see for yourself if you like their stuff....I would not sell your stateside car.  I would store it somewhere in a garage because you cant take the car back untill it is convertet to american specs....which is expensive and costly...you can buy a BMW for example with american specs but when you take it back to the states it will still cost to register and you must pay tax.  People will say you dont have to with certain guidlines but trust me YOU DO.  My M5 cost me about 18,000 dollars to take back...And now i live back in germany but I drive an Opel....(uugghh!)...So bring everything and take a taste of Germany before you make any decisions...you can look on the internet using www-----.de and not www---- .com on the websearch...enjoy Deutschland....Your (large) appliances do come with the house.  The house is NOT furnished when you get here but you can (Borrow) furniture for the time being till your stuff arrives.  The best to do is try to ship your stuff 3 weeks before you leave the states...should be here by the time you get here.(4wks)  you can rent a car if you have a german license...if not your man will have a sponsor that will help him out till you both get a license..BRING YOUR VALID STATESIDE LICENSE..This is a must to have any chance of driving here.  I can tell you lots more if you like let me know and I will be happy to E-mail you and tell you all about it and give you tips...I live in Germany and was in the army in germany.  Been to Spangleheim AFB did a small job at Mantech.

  2. Hello! First of all I would like to give you the link to the airbase so you can take a look for yourself:

From my military expierence you will be offered military housing when in Germany. Which means you will get all the furniture you need. Housing usually already has built-in kitchens with the appliances. However, a lot of families have some of their stuff shipped  over here. At the px you can buy just about anything you want, including tv, appliances etc. Fo it would be totally up to you if you want to bring things over here or not. As for your car, most Americans get a car here, but only drive it until their car has been shipped. In case you have more questions don't hesitate to email me! Good luck!

  3. I was never there but I'm a spouse from US Army. We are here in Germany almost 6 years. The Government housing has kitchen, washer, dryer, fridge, and if you need some furniture's they give you this also.

Don't sell your furniture's, just in case.

About the Car, I don't know how old is your car, you can bring only one car overseas anyway. Before you are moving from Germany you can buy a new car here. This is how the Americans doing.

Germany is nice you love it. Good luck.....
